In one hour, a driver will retrieve me so that I can fly, fly away to this place:

My plans have come together in an unbelievably good way, considering the entire trip was planned with barely a week's notice. I will see four different sets of friends and, hopefully, many cool sights. I even have reservations this evening for dinner at the awe-inspiring Chez Panisse:
