The back story is that apparently, a student at Villanova's law school has a peanut allergy. She decided to be a visiting student at Fordham this year, and the Villanova dean sent a sympathetic email to the Fordham dean, not realizing that he was actually emailing an entire listserv of deans, deans who are not really all that into discretion, and one of whom leaked the email to a blog read by many.

In the comments thread that follows, you will see there are people sympathetic to the peanut allergy, those who are disdainful of it, some cynics who think the girls is faking it because peanuts only appear to bother her when she actually knows they are present, and others who simply do not want to give up their peanut butter sandwiches. A few Villanova students deny that any "peanut party" occurred after the girl's departure, though someone says they simply were not invited to said peanut party.

It's a rough world, law school land.
