Another old Dallas theatre lost.

While I was in a 12-hour mediation this week, Dallas lost one of its oldest theatres to a six-alarm fire:

In the middle portion of the photo, the Arcadia Theatre is marked by its bright orange painted trim. To its right was Nuevo Leon, which is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town. I was just there a few months ago to pick up dinner for my friend and me--I sat at the cool, dark brown bar and drank a nice frozen margarita while waiting for my order to be ready.

It's a sad day for the Lower Greenville area of Dallas, and for those of us who love that area.
