Dream jobs

There are certain jobs that we glorify in our imaginations, but that can probably never measure up to our lofty fantasies. For me, that would be the job of baseball writer. For this author, it's the job of baseball card writer. Check out his very interesting story! (via Kottke)

Being a baseball writer would be great except for dealing with the players. Most of them are impossible to deal with according to most beat writers I've ever heard talk about doing that job.

Topps is just like any other corporation. Giving cards to certain "special" people and not the rest of the employees. That's so freakin' stupid. But, they all do it.

Most manufacturing companies allowed management to have free products, certain people to get them at cost and the rest have to pay a price close to retail.
