"There's a lot of times where we don't break for lunch, we don't break for dinner, we don't get a bathroom break..." W.T.F? My heart just goes out to the poor, suffering Texas ledge, so overwhelmed with work... (end of sarcasm).
They need to find out if they were voting the way those absent wanted them to vote, or if they just took advantage of the absences and voted their own way, especially those voting "across the aisle". Either way, it appears to be against their rules, so should be stopped.
But Jenn, you should feel sorry for them, because haven't you heard that we FORCE people to serve in the Lege here, as opposed to them running for office voluntarily? And they meet every other year for several months in a row, making it surely one of the most grueling forms of indentured servitude a person could imagine.
Betty, excellent question you raise. I would be interested in knowing the answer as well.
